Sleuthing Sunday: The End of Monk

Recently, the last episode of Monk aired. It was a sad day for me since it was one of my go-to shows. When you love a show like that, even a “bad” episode is a good episode.

It was bittersweet for me to watch it because, although I knew that they would wrap things up pretty nicely so that viewers would see Monk in a happier, more functional place – that of course is a nice way to resolve the series of “the defective detective” – it was also “The End”.

So, this is my salute to Monk – the writers, the actors, the viewers that kept it coming back season after season. It was a great show that was often silly, sweet and suspenseful and I’ll miss it!

If there is someone in your life that loved the show, you might consider giving them a gift of Monk. Getting them a DVD, or several, is a great present for someone who may not have seen all of the episodes, for someone who likes to collect their favorite shows and movies on DVD or someone who just likes to watch their favorites more than once!
