So, my post was late (sorry!) because I had the unexpected opportunity to see our friends, Shayne and Laila, that are visiting from California. Friends that we haven’t had the opportunity to see for a year! So, of course Alex and I jumped at the opportunity because friends are a gift and I figured my readers would forgive me – at least I hope so!

We celebrated our friend Shayne’s birthday and we finally got to meet their first baby – the cutest, sweetest, little boy! Giving of yourself isn’t always easy, but it is always rewarding. Case in point – Locks of Love. I haven’t had my hair cut in over a year because I decided that I was going to attempt to grow out my hair long enough so that I could donate it to Locks of Love. Believe me, there have been times that I’ve felt a little bit shaggy while I wait for my hair to grow. There are other times that I worry that I’ll get too attached to my new length and not be able to part with ten inches (that’s a lot!) of hair.
