I still am without internet (sort of) at my new place. It has been installed but a problem in the line is preventing it from working properly, which is why there have been such a lack of posts. A repair is slated for Monday, after which regular posts will resume!

My apologies! Had I been able to anticipate being without internet for so long I would have tried to make arrangements for a guest blogger.

Personal wireless…it sounds so convenient, so sweet and so perfect for a back-to-school gift for the student in your life.  I just moved and am eagerly awaiting for my internet to be installed and was wishing that this were within my budget!

This type of gift is tricky – it requires a contract and a monthly payment so you either have to be wiling to have this in your name (college student off to school and mom and dad are willing to pay for the device and service scenario) or you have to discuss with the recipient the option of buying the device and letting them pay the monthly payments or getting the contract in their name with an upfront gift of cash or a secured credit/gift card like Green Dot.
