Last week’s Toy Tuesday entry got me to thinking about the nature of toys and what we consider to be a toy. If you look up the definition for the word “toy” you’ll find many different meanings for this one word. Rightly so! Giving of yourself isn’t always easy, but it is always rewarding. Case in point – Locks of Love. I haven’t had my hair cut in over a year because I decided that I was going to attempt to grow out my hair long enough so that I could donate it to Locks of Love. Believe me, there have been times that I’ve felt a little bit shaggy while I wait for my hair to grow. There are other times that I worry that I’ll get too attached to my new length and not be able to part with ten inches (that’s a lot!) of hair.

I was just about to walk out the door yesterday and saw a big box sitting on the porch. I was ever so curious but didn’t have time to investigate since I was on my way to a doctors appointment so I brought it inside so that I could open it when I returned.

Although the sun wasn’t out when my appointment was over it had at least stopped raining, so Isabelle and I went for an nice long walk and then headed to the park, where she proceeded to get wet and muddy playing with three other cute dogs.
