So, my post was late (sorry!) because I had the unexpected opportunity to see our friends, Shayne and Laila, that are visiting from California. Friends that we haven’t had the opportunity to see for a year! So, of course Alex and I jumped at the opportunity because friends are a gift and I figured my readers would forgive me – at least I hope so!

Happy Birthday, Shayne!

We celebrated our friend Shayne’s birthday and we finally got to meet their first baby – the cutest, sweetest, little boy! We ate delicious things, got to meet some wonderful new people, had good conversations; all with a giant and cute dog  patiently waiting for something yummy (I think the dog might have weighed more than me – I swear!) – we just had a great time.
