So, my post was late (sorry!) because I had the unexpected opportunity to see our friends, Shayne and Laila, that are visiting from California. Friends that we haven’t had the opportunity to see for a year! So, of course Alex and I jumped at the opportunity because friends are a gift and I figured my readers would forgive me – at least I hope so!

We celebrated our friend Shayne’s birthday and we finally got to meet their first baby – the cutest, sweetest, little boy!
