Personally, I’m not big on making resolutions at the New Year. I tend to think of self-improvement as a daily endeavor and make resolutions at my birthday instead, but this year I may actually make a few as life is calling for some changes.

I was talking to a nice young woman today while I was out getting coffee with my dog and she started talking about her cousin, which then led to her telling me what gifts she had just gotten her. She didn’t know that gifts are my specialty or that she was soon going to be the subject of my blog. Here’s the deal – her cousin was sick and her birthday was also coming up.
