Mother’s Day: Simple and Sweet

So, I was was doing research one night and just happened to find this site – Wild Olive – and knew as soon as I saw this tee, it would be perfect for Mother’s Day. Now, granted, it wouldn’t be perfect for everyone,

you have to consider certain things about your recipient; are they religious? If not, they probably aren’t going to appreciate wearing something with scripture on it. Another consideration, some women don’t like to wear t-shirts. So, if your mom or spouse is a super-polished, button-down-blouse type of lady and doesn’t often dress casually, just take a peek at some of the other Mother’s Day posts or the Mother’s Day aStore because I’ve picked out lots of great things for Mother’s Day.

Now, although not right for every woman, these tees are really beautiful and inspiring and really would make a lovely gift. Not just for Mother’s Day either – I think the “Beloved” shirt would be especially sweet for Mother’s Day, but because of their simple beauty these would make wonderful gifts any time of year.

Who would this make a good gift for and how do you give it?

These are wonderful gifts for someone of the Christian faith. A choir director, pastor, Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, etc. – this is a great way to not only thank them for their work or a gift of appreciation but also a gift that would continue to inspire them!

These would make a nice graduation gift as well. What a wonderful message to a young lady at an important juncture in her life – a gift that not only says that you are proud of her and care about her but that reminds her that she isn’t on the path alone but can turn to her faith and her loved ones.

Also a great gift for anyone that is experiencing difficulty in their life and needs a reminder of the love that surrounds them.

How to give this gift? Well, a lot will depend on the recipient and the occasion for the gift. First, start with picking the right style and size – picking something that they like and that will flatter them is essential. If you have questions about the right size, make sure to consult their sizing page – and then, if you need to, do a bit of detective work to find out what size your recipient wears. Secondly, pick a tee that you think will be meaningful for them. They are all unique and wonderful but when giving a gift like this you want to consider the tee on the whole – pick one where all three elements, color, artwork and verse are going to be appealing to your recipient. Her favorite verse could be James 1:2-3, but if she despises wearing brown, weeellllll, find a better fit (no pun intended).

If this is a casual present – just wrap and give along with a nice card. If this is a gift for an important celebration, this is a great gift to accompany another gift – like a piece of nice but inexpensive jewelry or a CD with inspirational music would really round out the gift by either enhancing the beauty of the tee or the verse.
