Father’s Day is June 21 this year so it is time to start thinking ahead to that special day, but so many Father’s Day presents will make great gifts at any time of the year because you are celebrating your father or husband, not all fathers. This is the least gay* (adult) scooter I have ever seen! And trust me, as an adult living in Boston without a car, I have looked at a lot of scooters and other alternate forms of transportation.

*When I moved to New Hampshire, where I attended high school, I had to learn a whole new set of vocabulary that I will share with you so that you can understand the lingo in this post:

gay – Not happy not homosexual – these definitions were only reserved for English or health class…gay meant stupid, ridiculous or absurd. Often used when one was speaking of another’s parent. “Are you kidding me? She [the mother] won’t let you go out on Friday? That is so gay…”

What an excellent way to engage children and teach them something about science and life at the same time!  I think that the butterfly garden on its own is a fantastic gift – if you read the reviews people are just so consistently happy and both the children and adults love the experience of watching this amazing life transformation. If you are giving this to young kids, getting the book can really add to the experience – the book is geared toward kids between 4 to 8 years of age and is a really wonderful way to explain to them how the butterfly garden will work.
