This is such an easy idea and you can personalize it in so many ways. Really. Your imagination is the limit here. All you really need is a deck of cards, a magic marker (unless you decide to use your printer), a hole punch and a way to hold the cards together (like pretty ribbon or one or more binder rings). You can add embellishments with magazine pictures, adhesive gems, stickers, construction paper, things you print from your computer, etc. If you add paper embellishments you may need to add a glue stick to your list. You can get these supplies at many retailers (Target, CVS, Walgreens, etc.) but they may be less expensive to purchase at a craft store.

The game’s simplicity makes it easy to learn – you have to compare four things (color, shape, shading, and number) on each card independently. When you compare the cards, each of the four things either has to be completely the same or completely different. The rules are really that simple but the game gives your brain a workout! I was browsing the internet late one night and I came across a question posted on a Yahoo! board from a freshman in high-school who wanted to get his girlfriend something special We’ve all been there. Not a lot of money but wanting to impress that special someone that you don’t know that well yet because you’ve only been dating for two months…
So, what do you do? Here’s an easy, thoughtful idea. Take a photo album or brag book (something like this is really inexpensive and would work well), and instead of just putting pictures in it, write down or print out cards that are the same size as a photo and write down some of the (many!) reasons you love them.
